My girl want to party all the time.

    By eclectik | August 28, 2006

    Why don’t you club?

Clubbing (in my opinion) is one of the few things that people do on the regular that yields NO return

    You figure:

    THEN you have the fun

    Men:

(But when a woman uses you for your cash you get burnt and call her a gold digger…go fig.)

    Women:

(If you don’t …they’re probably doing it to you)

    puhahahhahah!

Basically what it boils down to is:

(Dont say anything about it or then it’s on)

(Again, keep your mouth shut…might get shot)

…so you figure, end of the night, spent about $100.

Less for women with the: “Ladies get in free before…” and Men trickin’ on drinks

But anyway, it amounts to too damn much…too extra for ole Mr. eclectik here.

    Me?

Lemme go shoppin, I’ll get a shirt or a pair of sneakers

…a DVD, a 8-pack of Smirnoff twisted (Watermelon or Green Apple) and relax have a slice of Pizza or some take out and watch a movie. Same or less amount of money…much more fun.

    But do go out…enjoy,

    just not for me.

Lol You are exactly right, a night at the club is basically that. You forgot to include the day of preparation to get you ready to go out. I laughed the whole time I was reading this but then I stopped and asked myself , is it worth it? No its really not. lol

First of all….there are never any comfortable “clubbin sexy shoes”. Plus only women pay attention to your shoes and it is dark and sticky anyway.

Now, I ain’t 17 no more. I got too much ass to be trying to have that shit bounce all night. My titts are too big to be dropping like no “freaking eagle”. (Who came up with that bull?)

Now being in Chicago, I am a Chicago stepper…beginner…but even that crowd is special. You are judged by the older crowd based on your eight or six count and staying in your lane. As a true Chicago stepper, account for the $15 ticket, parking if you are lucky, your outfit $150 with the steppers heels, $10 drinks, $60 fresh perm do, $20 cut for my fro, and full tank of gas to get to the set, $10 bootleg pic in the corner. By the end of the night hopefully you ain’t got some old school stepper walking you to your car asking for your number.

Lawrd, I love stepping…love the Chicago stepping sets… I am NOT a clubber…clearly must never been one!

So not my type of entertainment. I would be the chick sitting at the table in the corner yawning or sitting at the bar eating babybacks drinking Corona Light out of the bottle because I don’t have to be cute because I have a man! I haven’t been out on a “girls night” to the club in a loooong time! I’d rather kick back with a group of friends or other couples at a jazz club with a few bottles of great wine or a martini bar.

Divine is right, there is NO comfortable shoes for clubbing at the end of the night your feet are burning and you are racing to the car so you can take them bad boys off

Ah good old Chi-Town stepping…NOW that is where it’s at…I’m still a lil young so I get the scoffs when I go to Stepper’s Sets LOL, my daddy and mama are Chi Town Steppers, basically every sat. u can find them at some set…LOL @ $10 bootleg pic with the airbrushed sheet as the backdrop…I got a few of those bad boys lol

Yes I am a club go-er but I hit it when its free to get in….

      Wow-
I haven’t been out to the club since about 1995… yes indeed. I do remember those days… I must say, I did used to be in ‘em real deep though… I was a “speaker girl” (a name they gave to girls who danced on ‘em) I won’t name the club for fear of incriminating myself…

But that is the past, and I can say the reason I clubbed so heavy back in the day is because the man who is now my husband was none other than the club DJ. Yes, I married the DJ, so my clubbin’ days weren’t in vain after all (smile)

I like to dance so when I go out it’s because I am ready to get my groove on (on the dance floor that is). I dance by myself, I am not trying to catch, and If I don’t make eye contact you better not come up to me and try to start conversation period. I also like to people watch, and I usually have plenty to look at and talk about. LOL. The spots I go to usually have free cover, but I will pay up to $10 er’ry now and then. I don’t drink, so I save a lot of money there! It’s not all bad.

      Also,

Go out on the floor and get molested by some dude dry humpin your leg like a Horny beagle
Or the obligatory “Arm Grab” followed by ‘can I talk to you for a second?”

-The above rarely happens to me because my body language generally says “I’m a bitch, and if you step to me, you will get dissed”.

Amen. I’m so sick of people trying to drag me out to a club that I don’t even want to go to. That’s ALL they think there is to do in college. Even if EVERYTHING is fully paid for, chances are I’ll still pass.

What’s the fun in going to a club to be around a bunch of people that don’t care about you and only want to hate/get some, when you can hang out with people who genuinely care about you? (something I learned the hard way this past new years)

I make going to the club an excursion..I prepare a week ahead by going to the hair salon, the nail salon, and the mall….NOw my sole purpose for going to the club its to unwind and hang out with the girls. I tend to go to the clubs alot with guys so I know Im not going to look for men. I just wanna dance and drink and chill. My nites arent that bad except for when I get molested but some nites I dont hafta spend nary a penny and thats always a good nite…any FREE nite is hte BEST nite. :)

      My thoughts exactly, E!!
That’s why I refuse to go these days…Bad return on investment and even worst the opportunity costs involved all to get some free drinks and numbers to enter in your cell…

      I’ll pass for now, LOL

I have never been to the club, but I get looked at weirdly for never attending one….LOL. I don’t see the big deal. Why go to a place when I know that I will just sit there staring at the wall…hehe.

Clubbing is part mating ritual. It’s a mostly frustrating & annoying experience, but it’s one of the few places large numbers of available people display themselves. We know it’s a game, but we’re drawn to it because of our procreation needs. Where else can you find hundreds of single people making it obvious that they’re ready to fulfill their biological destiny? I never liked clubbing, either, but it serves a purpose. Secondary purposes could be the love of dancing to loud music in a social situation, taunting men with what you will never allow them to have just to charge your ego & see them drool. Of course, the most obvious reason to club is for sex, which goes back to procreation, although that is not always the aim

And my friends go out to as they say “find a new boo” I think that’s ridiculous at a club especially at Love or H20 (I hate that place) over that dirty water. I always think the floor will cave in LoL.
